Yes — a valid passport is required for crossing at Beitbridge in either direction. We send a free border documentation reminder before every trip with the full checklist.

Children require their own passports. South African and Zimbabwean immigration may also request unabridged birth certificates and consent letters for minors travelling with one parent or another adult — pack these in advance.

Our drivers handle the operational side of the Beitbridge crossing. You're responsible for your own passport stamping and any personal declarations — but we'll point you in the right direction.

Cash, firearms, drugs, hazardous materials, livestock, and anything restricted by South African or Zimbabwean customs law. High-value electronics or large quantities should be declared up front.
